Document Description
The proposed project would improve east-west travel for people riding bikes through the Mid-City area by creating inviting and convenient bikeways that connect key community destinations, including schools, parks, transit stops, and commercial areas. The project spans Estrella Ave from Orange Ave to University Ave and University Ave from Estrella Ave to 70th St, just past the city border with La Mesa. Proposed project features include separated bike lanes, buffered bike lanes, high visibility treatments, and protected intersections designed to make the streets more pleasant for everyone - people who walk, bike, work, and live there.
