Document Description
DFD staff will dispose of harvested organic material (pond weed) that has been removed from CCF to a spoil site located near the Banks Pumping Plant intake channel. Pond weed removal is executed in the forebay using harvesting boats. The harvested material is then loaded into dump trucks via conveyor belts (multiple locations) and transported directly to the disposal site via levee roads. The harvested material will be allowed to set in place and dry out prior to transport to a local landfill (if necessary) or dozed back to earthen material on site. The project is entirely within DWR right-of-way.
