Document Description
DWR will give encroachment permission to San Luis Water District (SLWD) to restore water conveyance through an existing, blocked, pipeline crossing currently attached to the north side of Eagle Field Road. The existing steel pipeline will be cut and an 8-inch to 10-inch diameter fused high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipeline will be slid into it, making the existing steel pipeline a carrier for the HDPE bridge crossing. However, if SLWD is unable to successfully route the HDPE pipeline through the existing pipeline, the existing pipeline will be removed and its tie-in to an underground pipe will be located by excavating an area of up to 10 feet wide by 10 feet long and 5 feet deep at MP 89.67L. Once the underground pipe is located, a new section of pipe will be added and routed over the north side of the bridge in the same location as the existing steel pipeline; the excavated area will be backfilled and compacted. SLWD will benefit.
