Document Description
Replacement of an existing undersized, misaligned and plugged 24" diameter by 60' long culvert on County Road 308-Rowdy Creek Road, at Mile Post 2.29. The project is located on lands managed by Green Diamond Resources for timber production. The project is partially funded using Secure Rural Schools and Community Self-Determination Act funds administered by the Six Rivers National Forest. The existing culvert will be replaced with a 6' diameter (or elliptical equivalent) by 80' long corrugated metal pipe (CMP) culvert set at an ~18% gradient. Rock slope protection will be installed on the inlet and outlet of the structure. A grade control rock weir will be installed upstream of the inlet. The site work will remove 30 conifer and hardwood trees ranging from 1/2" to 11" in diameter as well as shrub vegetation on the outlet and inlet. There are no fish in the seasonal stream and it may be dry during the project. Project will generate approx. 35 yd3 of excess fill from the road prism. All construction work will be done July 30th and October 15th of the year of construction. Road width, grade and elevation will remain unchanged.
