Document Description
Replace and/or reinstall up to thirteen signs at Morro Rock State Park in order to identify the area as a State Natural Preserve and to protect public safety. Work will: Remove existing regulatory signs and posts from the gate entrance to the parking lot; Excavate an 8-foot long, 2-foot wide, and 1-foot deep area for a wall foundation and install a 7-foot long, 3.5 foot high and 1-foot deep rock wall with mortar; Excavate two (2) foot deep by 1-foot in diameter posthole footings, install two posts and pour concrete around posts to secure; Attach a new 6' wide approx. 50" high entrance sign to the posts; Install five State Park Boundary and five "Do not enter of climb" signs on five wooden 4" x 4" posts along the base of Morro Rock to deter climbing; and Install 2 angled, metal, stands and attach a new interpretive panel.
