Document Description
The purpose of the project was to implement emergency repairs in order to prevent the loss of the highway due to roadway fill displacement and associated culvert failure along the portion of State Route (SR) 101 and SR 271, in Mendicino County. Caltrans has completed repairs at three culverts on SR 271 in Mendocino County at Post Mile 18.95. 19.0, 19.4 and one culvert on SR 101 at PM 103.34. DUe to the nature of this project and the timing of implementation, Caltrans did not qualify for a Regional General Permit No. 5 (Corps File No. 28218S) from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and instead, Caltrans was required to obtain an after-the-fact Nationwide Permit No. 14.
