Document Description
The proposed project would renovate approx. 2,000 gross sq. ft. of shell space in the basement of the Medical Education and Telemedicine building. Scope of work would include removal and replacement fo walls to allow for a lab and operating room (OR), as well as ancillary storage, equipment and circulation improvements. The lab would include fourteen surgeon workstations and one instructor station, equipped with wall mounted microscopes, wet and dry extraction systems, lab utilities and sinks. The OR suite would include an X-ray imaging C-arm and OR table, as well as an integrated control room and equipment enclosure to support this equipment. Work would include installation of OR lighting, monitors, and shielding equipment. Scope of work would also include updates to interior finishes to include antimicrobial walls, specialized ceilings, integrated LED lighting and terrazzo flooring.
