Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2018-0120-R1 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Mendocino County Department of Transportation, presented by Mr. Alex Straessle. The project is limited to one encroachment. It will remove a failing 60-inch diameter corrugated metal culvert with a ten-foot by seven-foot box culvert. The box culvert will be placed below the stream grade, partially filled with an Engineered Streambed Mix to mimic a natural stream bottom. Because of the stream gradient, a roughened ramp will be constructed at the outflow to facilitate fish passage. The design is sized for a 100 year flow event, and has been reviews by NOAA Fisheries.
