Document Description
The project would implement road reconstruction and sediment control upgrades to 2.5 miles of the dirt Road 720 within the Railroad Gulch (Big River) watershed on JDSF property (within the southwestern portion of the forest). The proposed project is intended to improve JDSF Railroad Gulch watershed forest roads and, after upgrading, will make Road 720 the new “year-round” primary access to the Mendocino Woodlands Camp (MWC). The Road 720 Upgrade Project involves a variety of treatments used to reduce erosion and sediment delivery and make dirt roads more resilient to large storms and flood flows.
