Document Description
DWR proposes to upgrade the fiber optic cable between the DWR Oroville Field Division Operations and Maintenance Center, the Hyatt Powerplant, and the Thermalito Diversion Dam, DWR must ensure the reliable and permanent transmission of info to manage the Oroville Facilities. As such, the proposed project entails the upgrade of the fiber optic cable to modern standards. The proposed project would involve open trench installation following an existing underground route, approx 2.4 miles long, along Oro Dam Blvd East and Glen Dr from the O&M Center to the junction with the existing fiber optic cable line which connects to the TDD and Hyatt PP. Proposed construction activities include trenching (excavation and fill), line and cable installation, paving, and site restoration using equipment such as an excavator, backhoe, and dump truck.
