Document Description
The Project will involve construction of a clear-span 8-foot-wide X 115-foot-long bridge (Dust Bridge) over the open water of Dust Marsh (a stormwater treatment marsh composed of open water and seasonal wetland vegetation), connecting the Dust Trail and Crandall Creek Trail. The Dust Bridge will be composed of fiberglass and redwood, with cast-in-place concrete abutments and piles installed above the bank tops. All work will be conducted above the top of bank of Dust Marsh, Crandall Creek, and Alameda Creek, and will include removal of a small amount of vegetation.

The Project is located at Dust Marsh within the Coyote Hills Regional Park on East Bay Regional Park District property, in the city of Fremont. The Dust Bridge is located south of the Alameda Creek Trail and west of the Willows Trail. The Project may be accessed from the north or south by taking exit 22 from Interstate-880, or from the southwest by heading northeast on Highway 84 and taking exist 36. At the Alameda Creek Trail, the Dust Trail or Crandall Creek Trail can be followed to the Dust Bridge project site.
