Document Description
The project would install and operate an approx 8-MWac PV solar power generation facility on 72 acres of undeveloped state-owned land that is adjacent to Calipatria State Prison. Project features include installation of single-axis trackers, installation of arrays providing approx 31,494 solar panels, inverters, underground and above-ground conduits, and associated electrical equipment. The ground-mounted solar array would convert sunlight to direct current electrical power which would then be converted to alternating current by string inverters before being delivered to the distribution system. The total system size is expected to be approx. 8 MWac, subject to final design.
