Document Description
The proposed project will involve the construction of an outlet, inlet, 0.2 mile canal, and a groundwater recharge basin. The purpose of the project is to utilize excess surface water for groundwater recharge. The proposed groundwater recharge basin is composed of several cells totaling approx 160 acres. The total capacity of the groundwater recharge basin will be approx 1,337 acre-feet. Piping would be used to connect the cells to equalize water levels. The depth of the cells will range from 5-15 ft. The proposed diversion structure will divert water from the existing canal, which runs adjacent to the property and parallel to Hwy99. Minimal piping will be needed to connect the diversion structure to the groundwater recharge basin, as the project will have a looped recharge system with a canal channel on the northeast end to tie back into the canal.
