The proposed project includes the development of a five-story (65 ft), 109-room TownePlace Suites Hotel by Marriott. The proposed hotel building would be in the northeastern corner of the site near the corner of West Huntington Dr and South Myrtle Ave. The total building footprint coverage is estimated to be 14,000 sf (19.0% of the project site) with a total building area of 68,000 sf. Hotel amenities, including an outdoor swimming pool and an outdoor seating area, would be located near the northern boundary of the project site. The project includes a General Plan Map Amendment and Zoning Map Amendment to modify the land use designation of the eastern portion of the project site from BE to Office/Research and development/light manufacturing.
