Document Description
This project consists of installing Fire Prevention and Education sign holders throughout the Amador El Dorado Unit at existing State facilities and/or on private property where permission has been granted via the CAL FIRE 719 process. The proposed sign holder installations shall consist of AEU station personnel and/or camp crews building the sign holder out of 10"x10"10' wooden timbers and mounting brackets, digging two holes approx. 8 feet apart and 3 feet deep, placing the constructed sign holder in place by filling the holes with concrete. Sign holder construction shall take place at the location of installation. The construction and placement on a sign holder should take approx. one half day to complete and the total project area may approx. 20'x20' foot area. The project shall require no grading and only minimal disturbance of earthen material. No sign holders shall be installed in close proximity to watercourses, known occurrences or habitat of threatened, rare or endangered species, or any archaeological resources. All sign holders shall be placed in locations which are readily visible to vehicular traffic on state/county roadways. Currently only one permanent sign holder installation location has been determined. In El Dorado County at Bacchi Road and Hwy 49. This NOE is to cover all Fire Prevention and Education sign installations to be completed in Amador El Dorado Unit into perpetuity provided the elements of this project description do not change.
