Patrick's Point SP Camping Cabin Project

Modify campsites, 18, 22, 28, 32, 92, 94, and 98 as well as the Campfire Center in the Abalone Campground at Patrick's Point State Park to improve access to visitors with Disabilities. Work will: Sawcut, remove and dispose of existing asphalt parking; Remove 3 alder trees from Site 28, one alder tree at Site 32, and 2 alder trees at Site 98; Prepare site, form and pour up to 630 ft2 of concrete at each site for parking and up to an additional 180 ft2 of concrete for a transition to the park loop road; Construct two level 4"x6"x20' pads for picnic areas and tent site, each bordered with Redwood, PTDF or Composite Material placed on top of ground and pinned, and backfilled with compacted class II road base and approved topping soil; Install 1 ADA Compliant redwood table, animal proof food locker and fire ring in each picnic areas; Establish 5' - wide routes of access between these areas with bordered and backfilled pathways, seat compliant slope; At Site #18 excavate 42" deep x 18" diameter hole and install a new water station and excavate a 36" deep x 24" diameter hole and install a dry well; and At Site #98 remove and replace existing water station at Site #98. At Campfire Center Modify a small portion of existing bench seating to provide for 4 companion seating spots (two up top and two down at the front). Border each site with 4"x6" Redwood, PTDF or Composite Material and backfill with compacted class II road base. Sawcut, remove and dispose of non-compliant asphalt from stage area and reconstruct to accessible standards, either with bordered and compacted soil or with concrete; Construct and accessible path travel between the stage area and the two front companion seats; and Modify the speaking lectern and fire ring as necessary to meet accessibility standards.
