Document Description
The nature and purpose of the High Performance Agent Based Simulation (HiPAS) GridLAB-D project is to increase the performance of the open source version of GridLAB-D when applied to integrated capacity analysis of distributed energy resources impacts, and to improve the broad accessibility of high-performance power grid modeling capabilities to the community of smart grid modelers and distribution simulation users in California. This project benefits ratepayers by delivering software to support more reliable, lower cost and safer electricity distribution. Additionally, supporting the goals of CPUC's DER Action Plan.
