Document Description
The Sonoma Lake Napa Unit of CAL FIRE is proposing a water system upgrade & paving project in western Sonoma County, CA. The approved water system upgrade project is located on the grounds of the Occidental Fire Station, a CAL Fire facility located approx. 12 miles west of Santa Rosa and a half mile east of the community of Occidental at 3100 Acreage Lane in Sebastopol, CA. The project as proposed is to replace an existing water supply line from Occidental Water Company main drain to the facility Dimensions for the water line will be 4 to 6 inches in diameter for 100 feet no more than 24 inches below surface level. The trench will be dug using a mini excavator or ditch witch. Approx. 15 cubic yards of soil will be disturbed because of these actions. The location of the new water line will follow as close as possible the existing path with some deviations where necessary to protect existing mature trees. The repaving will be spread 6 inches thick over approx. 14,000 sq. ft. on the identical footprint as the existing pavement. Equipment to be used includes a paver, backhoe and dump truck. Work is subject to weather, but anticipated to be completed within 1-2 months from approval of this report.
