Document Description
DFD personnel will remove the Sherman Island Fish Screen Structures (land side only) at sites 7, 8 and 9. The Reclamation Districts have a levee widening project that needs DWR to remove the structures. DFD staff will mow access area for access to remove the fence line and posts, all pump parts, motors, PVC piping, and electrical panels from each site. Break apart and remove the concrete pad from each site, then refill the hole left from the pad removal utilizing dirt from the pad area. Remove each power pole from the site. Cap any PVC or conduit left that travels underground prior to leaving the site and will mark the cap with high visibility paint or flagging. Disposal of materials and waste will be at the Hay Road Disposal Facility.

This project is exempt b/c it involves demolition of individual small appurtenant structures that garaged equipment. This project will not result in impacts to special status species or habitat. B/c this activity can be implemented w/o any significant environmental impacts, the exemption class 1 will be used for CEQA compliance.
