Document Description
The subsurface investigation of San Antonio Dam is proposed in response to the California Division of Safety of Dams' requirement for an updated evaluation of the dam's stability to support the Interlake Tunnel and San Antonio Spillway Modification Project; the results of this investigation will inform the design of the larger project. The investigation involves geotechnical borings at four locations; all will be on the dam embankment and will not involve the lowering of san Antonio Reservoir water elevations, or temporary reductions in flow within San Antonio River and the Salinas River. The investigation would implement methods to avoid the discharge of boring fluids and excavated materials into San Antonio Reservoir or San Antonio river
