Document Description
The proposed project would preserve and enhance the existing floodplain function and flood storage capacity of land near the confluence of Magpie and Don Julio Creeks by placing one or more easements on the project area. The purpose of the easements would be to prevent future development that would be subject to flooding or that would constrain future flood control options that would benefit the watershed. The proposed project also seeks to enhance the project area's degraded riparian, floodplain, and wetlands by conducting limited removal of non-native invasive vegetation, planting native riparian and upland tree species, seeding with native grass species, and preventing uses that degrade the onsite habitat.
