Alpine, Amador, and Tuolumne Drainage Restoration Project
Document Type
FIN - Final Document

Document Description
The purpose of the project is to improve drainage on the state highway system in Alpine, Amador, and Tuolumne counties. Caltrans identified 48 culverts that have exceeded their design life. There is a need to address structural and functional deficiencies, including deteriorated, corroded, and damaged inverts, as well as shape loss and joint separations. If left unaddressed, the deficiencies of these culverts would inhibit water flows and cause potential flooding to highways. As such, Caltrans proposes to replace and/or rehabilitate 48 culverts along SR 4, 88, and 207 in Alpine County, SR 16 and 49 in Amador County, and SR 108 in Tuolumne County.
