The action consists of the preparation of a SEIR for approved amendments to title 19 of the Kern County Zoning Ordinance (2015C) (Ordinance) focused on Oil and Gas local permitting in the valley area, for text amendments to various chapters, which include site development standards and permitting procedures for oil and gas exploration, extraction, operations, and production activities in unincorporated Kern County. The county certified a final EIR, and approved the amendments to the ordinance, on Nov 9, 2015.
