Reedley Main Canal Bridge Replacement

The subject application proposes to replace an existing two-lane, concrete-slab bridge with a two-lane box culvert bridge. The proposed bridge is 57 ft long and 55 ft wide with 2 12-ft travel lanes and 2 4-ft wide shoulders. It will replace a 29 ft long and 19 ft wide bridge with 9-ft travel lanes, and no shoulders. 285 ft of the existing road north of the bridge and 158 ft south of the bridge will be improved and taper widened, and up to 10 ft of additional ROW may be acquired on either side of the project area. Overhead utilities will be relocated, and additional utility facilities such as guy wires, anchors, and poles may be installed in or near the project area. A coffer dam will be built for construction purposes, channel work will occur, and four orange trees and ruderal vegetation in the existing ROW will be removed. The project site is located on Englehart Ave, approx 0.3 mi north of the intersection of Englehart Ave and American Ave in Fresno County.
