The Pinedale County Water District was formed in 1954 under provisions of the county water district's act. The district provides water, wastewater and solid waste services to rural residences in Fresno County. Its water service area encompasses nearly 1,270 acres of 2 square miles in both the city of Fresno and unincorporated areas of Fresno County.
