- Document Description
- Caltrans proposes to replace the existing Tumey Gulch Bridge (42-0246L and 42-0246R), on I-5 in Fresno County just south of Manning Ave, with new bridges. The project limits run from post miles 44.4-45.4. The purpose of the project is to address deficiencies of the existing Tumey Gulch bridges by replacing them with new bridges of a different design. The existing bridges have a history of approach settlement and movement of abutments. This project proposes one build alternative with two bridge design options: design option 1 (two single span, 100-ft long bridges) or design option 2 (two three-span, 140-ft long bridges). No acquisition of ROW is expected to be needed to construct this project, and no temporary construction easements are planned.
