Document Description
DTSC, pursuant to authority granted under chp. 6.8, div 20, sections 25323.1 and 25356.1 of the H&SC, approved RAW as submitted in April 2018 for a minor remediation activity to mitigate a past release of tetrachloroethene, also known as PCE in soil, soil gas and groundwater. The remediation activity will consist of continued operation of an existing Sub Slab Depressurization system located on the Sunshine Cleaners site at 10750 San Pablo Ave in El Cerrito, CA.
The Remedial action will be conducted under a Voluntary Cleanup Agreement with DTSC. The RAW was prepared for the site by Stellar Environmental.

The project is a minor action designed to prevent, minimize, stabilize, mitigate, or eliminate the release or threat of release of hazardous waste or hazardous substances. The project will not exceed $1 M in cost. The project does not involve the onsite use of a hazardous waste incinerator or thermal treatment unit or the relocation of residences or businesses, and does not involve the potential release into the air of volatile organic compounds as defined in health and safety code section 25123.
