Reasons for Exemption
The Project will facilitate the recovery of the California endangered salt marsh bird's-beak through maintenance, restoration and enhancement of salt marsh bird's-beak wetland habitat. The terms and conditions of the permit being issued pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 2081(a) for the Project will protect the environment and natural resources, including salt marsh bird's-beak. The Project also contains aspects of experimental design, and is being implemented to gather scientific information that will be used to facilitate the continued existence of salt marsh bird's beak populations in the wild.
