Document Description
IERCD is establishing an in-lieu fee program for the benefit of the Santa Ana River watershed, which is in the western portion of Riverside County, CA and in portions of San Bernardino County. The project is established pursuant to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, 33 C.F.R. Part 332 for the purpose of offsetting environmental losses resulting from unavoidable impacts to waters of the United States due to permitted activities and may also be used to offset environmental losses resulting from unavoudable impacts related to regulated activities by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife and the Santa Ana Regional Water Quality Control Board and potentially other regulatory agencies. The objectives of the Project are to provide a mechanism for developers, landowners and public agencies in need of long-term mitigation opportunities, conservation easement protection and establishment, and monitoring of restoration activities on IERCD owned or operated conservation lands. As approved by its Board of Directors on April 11, 2018.
