Document Description
The Pollock Remediation Planning Project will develop and evaluate potential remedial alternatives to respond to releases of hazardous substances in groundwater that are adversely affecting the beneficial use of groundwater at wells in the Pollock Wellfield. The scope of workfor the project represents the planning phase only. With this Project, LADWP will complete planning activities associated with the project including monitoring well sampling, data analysis, remedial investigation, modeling, feasibility study development, community involvement activities, development of conceptual design of the preferred alternative that will be completed following the selection of the remedy (consistent with the National Contingency Plan after the publishing of the Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study). Proposed plan and associated documents, the holding of the public comment period and public meeting, and creating a response to comments document, the preparation and approval of environmental documents to complyu with CEQA. It will consider basin-wide information already gathered and develop the specific remedial action for the potential future implementation project. These tasks will be conducted in a sequential manner, with project administration and stakeholder coordination and outreach continuing through RI/FS and CEQA approval.
