Document Description
EtaGen, Inc. will design and install a Linear Generator demonstration project that will comply with South Coast Air Quality Management District emissions standards. The system will convert pipeline natural gas into electricity to be consumed onsite. The fully-contained Linear Generator package is approx 20 ft long by 8.5 ft wide by 10 ft high, and weights approx 20,000 lbs. A concrete pad not exceeding two feet in depth will act as a foundation to the Linear Generator package. Electrical and gas stub-ups for connection to the bottom of the Linear Generator container will also be recessed at the top of the concrete pad. Electrical wiring will be trenched from the package to the facility's main breaker. A one inch gas pipe will be trenched to a new, dedicated gas meter to be installed by SoCal gas. Trenching of the gas and electrical lines, as well as pouring of the concrete pad will require saw cutting asphalt. It is not anticipated that electrical or gas runs will be longer than 100 ft each; final lengths and interconnection locations will be determined during the design phase of the project.
