Document Description
CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2017-0199-R6, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Riverside County Transportation Department. Project is limited to the widening of a one-mile section of Thousand Palms Cnayon Road from the existing 22-foot width to a 32-foot width roadway that includes two 12-foot travel lanes and 4 foot shoulders on each side of the roadway. The project adds a left-turn pocket into the Thousand Palms Oasis Preserve. Road widening will include grinding of existing pavement, overlaying with new pavement, minor modifications to the vertical alignment, construction of safety edge structures, widening and grading of existing dirt shoulders, and signing/striping modifications.
