Document Description
Caltrans proposes to install sixteen maintenance vehicle pullouts (MVP), two changeable message signs (CMS) MVP, slope paving under bridges, extended gore paving, and paving of the two (2) changeable message (CMS) MVP, slope paving under ridges, extended gore paving, and paving of the elongated narrow area between ramps. Activities such as work off the paved roadway, trenching, grading, and/or other ground disturbances will be required. The purpose of this project is to reduce the maintenance requirements for weed control beyond the gore, and the existing guardrail on the shoulders, as well as improve maintenance access too, and through fences. Also, this project will provide MVP for maintenance personnel to pull safely off the traveled way.
