Document Description
DFD staff will free woody debris that has become entangled and to permanently remove the buoy line. The buoy line will be accessed from the water using a boat, and from shore using a long reach excavator. Crews in the boat will use pike poles to free debris and the excavator will aid in freeing larger debris to be moved to the min extent needed to free debris from the buoy line and not pushed further into the water. Work will be scheduled during high tide to allow easier access and removal of the woody debris and the line will be cut at the on-shore anchors and permanently removed by hand from the water. The anchors will remain in place. Access to the site is off Sherman Island West Levee Rd. All work, including equipment staging and material placement will be within the DWR row.
