The proposed Samoa Peninsula Wastewater Project (project) is located on the Samoa Peninsula in Humboldt County approximately 225 miles north of San Francisco and less than 1 mile west of Eureka, California. The project is within the proposed Peninsula Community Services District boundary, which once fully formed, will provide municipal services to the Samoa Peninsula. The Samoa Peninsula includes the communities of Fairhaven, Finntown, and town of Samoa. The project’s proposed wastewater improvements would serve the unincorporated communities of Fairhaven and Finntown, but would not include the Samoa Town Master Plan area, which have been addressed in the previously prepared Samoa Town Master Plan, Final Master Environmental Impact Report, Humboldt County, April 14, 2006, certified October 27, 2009.
