Document Description
The California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), pursuant to authority granted under Division 4.5, California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Chapter 20, proposes to approve a Class 1* Permit Modification (Modification) for the Hazardous Waste Management Permit. The Modification will allow the permittee to convert Unit #6 (Return and Fill Unit) from receiving both spent parts washing solvents and aqueous-based washing solutions to receiving only aqueous-based washing solutions. Additionally, the Modification will allow the permitted to convert Unit #1 from storage of spent parts washing solvents to storage of aqueous-based washing solutions. Unit #12, Truck Loading Unit, will no longer be used for pumping spent parts washing solvents to tanker trucks. No physical modifications nor functional operations at either unit will be required. No changes in capacity or construction from the waste code changes.
