The property owner has submitted a Historic Demolition permit application for the demolition of the 1872 Greek Revival residence, known as "The Kimball House" located at 544 Tucker St. The Kimball House is associated with significant themes or patterns of events (Criterion 1), is associated with the life of a locally important person, and embodies distinctive architectural characteristics. However, it does not retain sufficient integrity to be listed in the California or National Register of Historic Places. The subject residence has been identified as a contributor to an eligible historic district on Tucker St. The potential "Tucker Street Historic District" is eligible for listing on the California Register of Historic Resources at the local level.
