Document Description
EID proposes to implement the Flumes 38, 39/40, 44, and Canal Replacement Project, which involves the replacement of Flumes 38, 39/40, 44 and associated canal segments and appurtenances. These flumes and canal segments are components of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission El Dorado Hydroelectric Project El Dorado Canal. The project includes applying air-placed concrete to the existing segments of the canal and conversion of wooden flume structures to pre-case or air-placed concrete canal or box culvert. The project also involves improvements to the existing Canal bench, which currently provides only limited access for construction and maintenance activities. The project would result in no change in canal operations or capacity. The project is designed to protect public safety and prevent resource damage by ensuring the continued operational reliability of the canal system to safely provide water for drinking water and hydroelectric generation.
