Document Description
Santa Barbara USD proposes to purchase the former National Guard Armory property at 700 East Canon Perdido St in Santa Barbara for eventual support of public education and community recreation programming. Until such time as SBUSD can complete a proper planning effort for the property, including all necessary assessment activities addressing existing structures, use of property would be limited to vehicle parking in paved areas of the site and storage of furniture and similar goods in the on-site stand-alone warehouse and garage structures. The ND addresses only purchase and interim use of the property, subsequent environmental review would be undertaken when master planning efforts for the property have been conducted.
