Document Description
Each campus in the UC system is required to periodically examine its academic goals, and to support those goals, formulate a land use plan in a Long Range Development Plan (LRDP). An LRDP is defined by statute (Public Resources Code (PRC] 21080.09) as a "physical development and land use plan to meet the academic and institutional objectives for a particular campus or medical center of public higher education.· The Regents approved the 2009 LRDP for the UC Merced campus as a guide for physical development to accommodate enrollment growth projected through 2030. The University has determined that an updated LRDP must be prepared to better reflect the revised campus site and changed conditions in the area. A Draft Subsequent Environmental Impact Report (SEIR) has been prepared to evaluate the potentially significant environmental effects of the proposed UC Merced 2020 LRDP.
