Document Description
The proposed project includes replacing playground equipment that has surpassed its useful life; replacing the park's deteriorating unitary playground safety surfaces with surfacing that equally meets all ASTM performance standards for poured-in-place safety surfacing; installingexercise stations around the park perimeter for increased physical activity, planting shade trees for additional shaded areas and sun protection, installing a walking trail around the park perimeter, and implementing Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements throughout the park. The ADA improvements includes reconstruction existing walkways, curb ramps, and driveways to comply with ADA allowable slopes; replacing and modifying bleachers to comply with ADA seating standards; replacing drinking fountains to comply with ADA standards; repaving ADA parking stalls to comply with ADA allowable slopes; increasing the number of ADA parking stalls; restriping ADa parking stalls to comply with ADA widths and length; and the addition of signage to comply with ADA informational guidance.
