This project proposes to remove excess fuels, including specific non-native invasive plants, from the oak woodlands found on Monroe Ridge within Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park to create a healthier and more fire, drought and disease resilient forested area. The proposed work will break up the vertical and horizontal continuity of fuels in the woodlands and greatly reduce invasive plant populations across the landscape.
