Document Description
DFD staff will remove all vegetation with weed eaters, chain saws, or by hand, in a 50-foot to 100-foot swath around the outside of the perimeter of the DFD switch yard fence line, the west side of Banks Pumping plant, and South Bay Pumping plant. Mature trees will not be removed. Vegetation removal will create a fire break perimeter around the fence line or fire hazard areas. After vegetation removal, a two-inch layer of aggregate base will be placed in the entire fire break area. Access to the site is directly off Kelso Rd, which is the main entrance into DFD. The entire work area is within DFD right of way.
