Document Description
The purpse of this project is to research and demonstrate the conversion of biomass to a bio-oil intermediate that can be upgraded and refined to jet fuel. The project team will modify the existing, permitted dual-bed gasification system that is located at the West Biofuel's site to produce a high quality bio-oil. The use of the existing facility maximizes the funded devoted to project demonstration. This demonstration will support fuel production projects at commercial scale and further reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the transportation sector.
