Document Description
Note: Review Per Lead Caltrans in cooperation with Grizzly Creek Redwoods State Park and Humboldt Redwood Company proposes to install vehicle-activated flashing beacons to alert drivers that vehicles are crossing the hwy at 2 locations in Humboldt County. The eastern location is located on SR 36 at PM 17.0 near the Grizzly Creek Redwoods State Park driveway, which has limited sight distance due to the existing hwy alignment and proximity to old-growth redwood trees. The western location is located on US 101 at PM 50.6 near the Marin St/South Scotia Rd intersection, where trucks enter and cross the high-speed expressway.
