Document Description
Note: Notice of Availability of Finding of No Significant Impact Caltrans proposes to widen existing 2-4 ft paved hwy shoulders to 10 ft along 2.7 miles of US 395 in Mono County. The proposed project will occur from PM 6.92-9.62, approx 17-20 mi north of the town of Bishop and south of the community of Toms Place. The project will also install ground-in rumble strips on the shoulders, replace or install guardrails, upgrade drainage systems, construct retaining walls between shoulder edges and native slopes where needed, flatten or cut slopes along the hwy to improve sight distance around curves, add a bicycle right turn pocket at US 395 and Lower Rock Creek Rd.
