Document Description
The project consists of excavating approx. 6 feet below ground surface to create a 6-foot by 6-foot wide trench to inspect the buried pipeline anomaly. Excavated soil will be segregated and stockpiled on adjacent upland. The trench will be lined with plastic sheeting to capture ocnstruction related debris material. the corrosion protection wrapping immediately surrounding the pipe will be removed and the pipe will be sandblasted to remove any residual coating. The anomaly will be inspected and repaired as appropriate. Following sandblasting and repair, the pipeline will be coated with epoxy. The trench will be backfilled in sections with previously segregated native soil.
