Document Description
The Colusa Indian Community Council is proposing the installation of a retractable and self-cleaning fish screen system and replacement of existing components at the Packer Ranch Diversion site. The existing ag diversion is unscreened, and installation of the fish screen system would prevent the entrainment of special-status fish, and would help meet the objectives of the Anadromous Fish Screen Program. The AFSP is a program designed to protect juvenile anadromous fish from entrainment by encouraging water diversion screening, and is administered by the US Fish and Wildlife Service with oversight from CDFW. The new pilings and platform would enable safer access to the diversion pumps, and the upgraded pumps would provide greater efficiency and improve water management.
