Document Description
The Department of Toxic Substances (DTSC) approved the San Benito High School Modernization Project (Project Site) Removal Action Workplan (RAW) located at 1220 Monterey Street, Hollister. The cleanup decision document, referred to as a RAW, specified the removal action objectives, identified the contaminants of concerns (COCs), and evaluated alternative remediation proposed for the Project Site. The Project activities consist of the excavation of approximately 645 cubic yards of soil impacted with lead at concentrations that exceed the Screening Level. The soil will be excavated, stockpiled, and sorted onsite. Following sorting, stockpiled soil will be loaded into trucks and transported for off-Site disposal at a permitted facility. Confirmation sampling will take place following completion of soil excavation and removal to ensure that all contaminated soil is removed from the Project Site.
