The proposed project involves the reconstruction and reconfiguration of the existing King-Chavez Primary Academy, the King-Chavez Arts Academy, and the King-Chavez Athletics Academy campus. These improvements include removal of existing portable classrooms; construction of a new two-story classroom building, multi-purpose building, and regulation size joint-use soccer field; expansion of existing parking and student pick up and drop off areas; installation of new security fencing; and renovation and modernization of existing classrooms with technology upgrades and new air-conditioning. The proposed project would increase the student enrollment capacity of the school to approx 892 students, which represents an increase of 40 students from the peak enrollment over the last 5 years.
